The Brushcutter 143R-11 has a cheap and nasty pull start. The starter is engaged by a cheap piece of plastic *** which breaks all the time.
The stress on this part is huge and should be made of cast metal. It is difficult to replace without messing up the spring assembly so you have to buy a whole new starter unit. The part probably costs 1p when new (in China) and they sell it for nearly £10. The new mechanism is over £30.
It is seriously *** engineering. When I pointed this out to a Husqvarna rep at the Royal Welsh Show they laughed.
Try and avoid Husqvarna like the plague, expensive and nasty kit.
